Northern Culture was founded in 2017 by Ved Das, a 20 year old Indo-Canadian male from Brampton, Ontario, Canada.
In the summer of 2017 and at the age of 19, Ved and a friend set out on a month-long excursion through western Canada and northern United States. Cramming themselves and all their supplies into a small Hyundai Elantra, the pair drove from province to province, and state to state taking hundreds of pictures of breathtaking scenery. This trip presented challenges the two of them never saw coming, stay tuned for our upcoming blog where Ved will discuss some of the challenges of going on a road-trip across Canada and the US.
It will feature topics like how to avoid a bear attack, cooking in the middle of the wilderness, and sleeping in sub-zero temperatures. In the end the journey was a highly rewarding experience and was incredibly inspirational. During the trip they traveled through many iconic spots, and experienced nature in all its beauty.
Two spots that really stood out were Banff National Park and Jasper National Park in Alberta, Canada. The sheer majesty of both landmarks was awe-inspiring, which led to the conception of “Northern Culture“.
